Chain Reaction is a voluntary Christian youth movement. It is modelled on a ministry called King’s Kids International – a youth & children’s ministry of Youth With A Mission. Primarily we focus on discipleship, encouraging young people to have an intimate and exciting relationship with God and from that point, be energised by the Holy Spirit to tell others.
As the Chain Reaction reputation has grown, opportunities arise for us to participate in outreach opportunities in our local area. Small teams are brought together to participate in festivals, prayer events, concerts and musical presentations.
Our gatherings are often the first place of connecting with new people. Each month new people are introduced to the Chain Reaction network; generally on the third Saturday of the month. From time to time we also combine with and support other Christian youth events.
Short Term Outreaches
Each January, Chain Reaction organises and runs short-term outreach teams; running between 8-10 days. Outreaches are designed for teenagers and young adults as well as families.

What they said
It’s fun. It’s fun to hang out with God and learn and do new things. I like the Puppets and teaching others how to look after them.

I always thought it was funny to not listen to my mum and rebel against rules but deep down I knew this upset her so I asked friends at Chain Reaction to pray for me and now my attitude is changing to become more like Jesus.
2 years ago, at my first Chain Reaction camp, I was going through a very difficult time of my life. Then at the camp I met people who are not afraid of sharing the joy of the Lord that it lasts forever. God did not just give me good friends at the camp but He also gave me His everlasting joy.
If I’m being honest I did not want to go at first. I thought to myself, “I’m gonna hate it”. “It will be boring and all about you must do this and you cant do that” But no. It was the most amazing experience I’ve had in a very long time
Chain Reaction has invigorated my own faith, blessed my 3 young adult kids and enriched us all through deep friendships.

It is really good opportunity to reach out to people, and serve in the community and church.

I’d moved to Australia recently, knew most of no body, and making friends wasn’t coming easy. I went to Chain Reaction for the first time and was totally welcomed into the family. It was amazing, and still is, to be around a bunch of people who are crazy about God!
Our three teenage children were part of a small ‘mature’ church. They were not excited about attending the Chain Reaction Camp in January 2014, but one became involved in dance, another in drama and the third in puppets. It was a life-changer for our family members to encounter and share the love, power and reality of the Lord with other Christ-centred families. In recent years, opportunities for dynamic spiritual growth, outreach and leadership have abounded through Chain Reaction

One of the highlights of being involved with Chain Reaction over the (last 7) years is seeing the practical out working of “God speaks to us today.” As we lead participants through teaching on and demonstration of the ways that God speaks and reveals things to us, one by one they hear God for themselves and come to an understanding that He really is alive and is interested in them.

Had a great time. Best Chain Reaction Ever.
