Well, what a way to finish – giving thanks to God and presenting a snap shot of what we did in front of about 100 people at Reedy Creek Baptist. Everyone on the team had a chance to be involved in puppets, drama, song, dance and testimonies, with a final worship song “The stand”, allowing us all (62) to gather together on stage to give thanks to God and honour the many people who contributed to the success of the outreach.
The day had begun with worship, reporting back from Coolangatta and Pottsville, then a time of debriefing and reflecting on the things God had done and the challenges that we faced in going back to our homes, schools and jobs. After lunch it was clean up time over at St. Andrews, then dinner and prep for the evening. It was a great atmosphere with many families and friends, plus others who we had met along the way. Earlier in the day Tim had been interviewed on the Vision Christian Radio Network about Chain Reaction and there seems to be many opportunities opening up for Chain Reaction to multiply in the Gold Coast area and beyond.
Tomorrow, the Canberra bus leaves at 9.30am and stops in Port Macquarie – with the goal of arriving home by 6pm on Friday. It will be sad to say our goodbyes, but exciting to know that God has done so much in the lives of everyone who has participated and their is so much more to come. God bless. Dr. Tim
